W880i VS my lost N73 Music Editions

Finally, I’ve bought a new gadget to replace my lost N73 *hix*. Yup I’ve bought W880i which actually had been being my target since I planned to switch to Sony Ericsson, before my company decided to give a N73 Music Editions to the entire employee with 70% OFF and then I decided to still use Nokia handheld. These tow gadgets; in the market have a similar price and similar customer objective. We know that W series from SE, are the walkman series with accentuate sound quality as their preeminence. And Off course N73 Music Editions is also accentuate their sound quality.

When there was N73 in my hand, I felt quite convertible and felt like I had every thing in my hand:

  1. Good camera (3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Advanced auto-focus and mechanical shutter),
  2. Quite good sound quality(Integrated 3-D stereo speakers, with music navigation in it’s handfree),
  3. Good applications,
  4. Easy to use (it’s because I’ve already familiar with Nokia series),
  5. And many more advantages except its navigator buttons which was little bit disappointing me (see my comment in Lhutfi blog).

Then it was lost in an angkot in Bandunk 16 Mei 2007 ago. It was fallen when I transit form Kelapa Dago Angkot to Kelapa Buah Batu Angkot.

Actually I don’t really need a gadget right now, cuz I’ve already had one, yup the old one that can still be used. But I planned to have one more for my father, and my choice was SE K800i, although my favorite was W880i. But when I was looking for K800i series, I found a second-hand W880i, with second-hand price, which was only been used for a week. So I bought it for sure with a simple check in the store. But after I use it and test it for a day, I feel like I start to be disappointed by the quality of this gadget. Ok for sound quality sony technology unmistakable, and this gadget has proved it. And fashionable was the first point that I liked when first time I saw this gadget, it can be seen in the size which is very slim. Oh it’s very beautiful. But when I explored it more!! I can list a view think that miss, compared with N73:

  1. No FM Radio.
  2. The External Memory only 1 GB (N73 2 GB).
  3. Camera only 2 Megapixel
  4. And when I use hendsfree, the ringtone can not be heard in the headphone and No music navigation from the handsfree.
  5. And many more :p

I hope next time I’ll find better point, that will not let me down about this handheld. By this comparison, personally, I prefer to like N73 Music Editions more then W880i.

    Gw ikut berduka bro, secara gw jadi saksi mata waktu lo kehilangan N73 ME. Next time, jgn dicantolin dipinggang lagi tu HP kalo enggak pasang tu handsfree trus dengerin musik, jadi kalo jatoh atau kecopetan bisa ketahuan.

    waduh, no comment deh :D karna gatau apa2 tentang seri W. Hihihi..
    maksud hati mau ga terima SE dijelek2in, dibandingin ama Nokia pula (yang fiturnya ga sebagus SE tapi harganya selangit)..
    Cuman pengen cerita aja, kmaren sempet pake K618i gada masalah.. suara ok, kamera 2 Mpix juga ok2 aja, 3G juga ok, bisa nonton tipi gratis, hihihi. trus, dulu waktu aku pake smartphone symbian UIQ sih puas2 aja, ga ada masalah yang berarti. trus ada satu komunitas asik (http://abenk.com/) yang sering upload software2nya hihi.. gretong pula!
    makanya yud, beli P1 aja.. nunggu beberapa bulan setelah launching, harganya pasti turun kok. :lol:
